Every year in November, Riverside PAC hosts their annual Winter Craft Market. Mrs. Tanya Grimbeek, who has been a part of Riverside’s PAC for years, has put in countless hours in to organize the event and raise money for the after grad events. Throughout the years, the market has been a fun and innovative way to raise funds for the after grad events of every graduating class. This year, it will be better than ever with brand new crafts, gifts and more.
This year, the Winter Market will be held on Saturday, November 17 from ten o’clock to four o’clock in the afternoon in Riverside’s gym and cafeteria. There will be over 140 artisans and vendors selling a wide variety of homemade crafts, goods, jewelry, clothing and more, just in time for early Christmas shopping. Every year, Riverside tries to find ways to make the Winter Market even more successful and entertaining. This year, there will be various raffles featuring awesome prizes, as well as a bake sale and a concession.
Last year, the market was an amazing success, there were many artisans and vendors with a variety of Christmas gifts for the early Christmas shoppers. The raffle was also a success with many donated prizes, such as gifts baskets and homemade goods. Many people in the community look forward to the annual market and are anticipating its return this year.
Admission is a small fee of $2 at the door, and is cash only. Children 12 and under have free entry. The goal of the Winter Market is to raise money for Grad 2019, so all the proceeds will be going toward grad events and celebrations held for the graduating class of 2019. Make sure to come out and support your graduating class and get an early start on Christmas browsing and shopping.
