With the Christmas season coming close, enjoy what the holidays have to offer with fun markets, activities, and events, perfect to attend with friends and family!

Experience some holiday fun at Canada’s largest winter festival, the Aurora Winter Festival. Open at Vancouver’s Concord Pacific Place, now until December 30, 4pm-10pm. Enjoy a mystical time, complete with the ‘Frozen River’ , a tube park, a Christmas market, amusement rides, food, and more. Children ages 4-12 are $14.00, and adults ages 13-64 are $19.99. The Aurora Winter Festival is perfect for all ages. Enjoy your night with friends and family!

The Capilano Suspension Bridge: Canyon Lights is now open until January 27, 11-9pm. Enjoy a fun experience walking the holiday decorated suspension bridges, 110 feet above the Capilano forest. Complete with thousands of lights throughout the park and activities such as gingerbread and cookie decorating, a scavenger hunt, and Christmas carols all night long, the suspension bridge is fun for everyone. Youth admission is $27.95 and adults are $46.95, however if you have valid student ID, admission is $34.95.

The Robson Square Ice Rink opens December 1. Sunday to Thursday: 9am-9pm, and Friday to Saturday: 9am-11pm. The rink is a perfect place to celebrate some holiday cheer,  and old-fashioned family fun. Skating admission is free; however, skating rental and helmets are available with a purchase of $5 per pair.

The Vancouver Christmas Market is in full swing, running at the Jack Poole Plaza until December 24. The market is filled with vendors selling everything from food and home décor, as well as a lit up walk-in Christmas tree, a visit with Santa, a Christmas carousel, entertainment and delicious eateries.  Youth admission ages 5-12 is $5, and adults are $12, but you can save $2 on adult tickets by purchasing online.

The Stanley Park: bright nights Christmas train is open now until January 5. Head into sparkling Christmas lights, life performers and displays as you make your way drown the train route. Admission is pay by donation, and a portion of your donation goes to the Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund. Enjoy a great holiday experience, while supporting a cause!

The Coquitlam Christmas Craft fair. Open December 1-2, 10am-4pm at the Poirier Forum. The market is complete with 100 vendors, selling handmade crafts and food. Adult admission is $3, and kids are free. The Christmas fair is a great way to find holiday gifts ideas and spend time with friends and family!

Timberline Country Christmas in Maple Ridge is now open from December 1-19 for some family fun! Complete with lights, trees, holiday music, and activities. Admission is $13 for adults and children on the weekend, and $11 on weekdays. Enjoy the holidays while visiting the ranch!

Visit the Burnaby Village museum at Deer Lake, and experience their Heritage Christmas event, and some old-fashioned fun! Open December 4 to January 4. Filled with beautiful lights, theatre performances, a carousel, Christmas trees and more. Admission is free, however the carousel ride is $2.65
